Why New Years Resolutions Don’t Work [PART TWO]

Setting New Year Resolutions Doesn’t Work… [PART TWO]

This is part two and a lot of people started the New Year with many goals and dreams.  But this is probably a distant memory by now and the likelihood of  them being achieved is getting more and more unlikely.

The question is “Why?”  In part one we covered 4 points to get your started so you can get closer to your dream.  If you would like to see these points click here.  In part 2, I will cover 3 more points.

Reprogramming your mind  is the start of success. Many people do not know where to start and how to proceed in developing a strong mindset.  But the unfortunate part is that they think that they get away without doing more.  To make an impact your children’s lives and that of your family you have to achieve more so that you can do more.

You best thinking has got you to where you are.  You are what you think about all day long.  The question now becomes, what are you thinking about.  Visualising is all about forming a mental image is your mind.  This happens whether you choose it or not.  There is a film playing over and over in your head and this is what is creating your life.  Is it a film of success or is it a film of failure?  Decide what it’s going to be.  Choose success over failure.  See yourself having already accomplished your goal.  Not only what it looks like, but also how it feels and taste like.  There is power in visualisation.  Use it!

Thoughts become things.  If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand.

Get an accountability partner who is similar to you or ‘like-hearted” person.  This person or persons need to have the similar hopes and dreams.  They will hold you accountable. Meet and talk as often as you can, at least once a week.  Even better, join a mastermind group.  This is a set of highly focused, talented individuals who come together to stretch and challenge each other.  Better still, make a worthwhile investment by finding yourself a coach.  Find someone in you industry or your area of interest who will be accountability coach.  They will see something in you that you do not see in yourself.  Anyone who has done anything of consequence has been a mastermind group and has had a coach to help them get to where they want to be.  Your coach will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.  If you want to find out more about masterminding click here
