How to Eliminate Overwhelm & Go Into Massive Action

If you attend webinars, buy the latest course on social media hacking, go through the training, but somehow, you never manage to get round to taking action on what you have learnt.  Then the chances are that you suffer from analysis paralysis and this is for you!

And before you start over thinking this, you are not alone in doing this.  Studies have shown that over 89% of the people do this exact thing.  The thing is that from birth we have be programmed to learn and consume. The market tries to keep up with an ever demanding world, so as fast as people are consuming, new things are being pumped out into the market, forcing us to buy more and take less action.
We've always been taught that knowledge is power, but the more we consume and the less action that we take, we realise that knowing more does not mean the we earn more. This is when overwhelm happens! Overwhelm happens when you’re not getting RESULTS.  If you were getting the results that you wanted you would not be feeling overwhelmed.
So the question now becomes, how can we eliminate overwhelm and go into massive action mode?
There are 3 things that you can apply straight away that will help you start taking action.

Set an ACTION objective!

What will you get out of that?

  • Watching a training video
  • Attending a seminar
  • Listening to an audio
  • Reading a book or blog
  • Watching a dvd/program/video

What are you going to do with the information you obtain?  This is important to do as you can watch video after video, read book after a book and turn into a seminar junkie, all without taking action to grow your business and add value to your customers.  So decide what you will do!

  • Create a blog
  • Shoot a video
  • Launch an Ads
  • Share/ repurpose the content for training your team

As long as you’re using the information to actively build your business and moving it forward. Remember that the way you move determines how you feel

2. Decide it’s Usefulness

FOCUS on what is currently relevant.  Don't try to apply everything all at once.  Think about what is relevant in your business as you watch the training, or go through any course you might have.  Go through any past courses that you might have and go through them and find and relevant information.  The key here not to store the information but to get it out there as soon as possible.  Storing this information is like having uncashed cheques.  They're only worth something once you've cashed them in.  And just like cheques, there's a set period in which you can cash them in, after that time, the become useless, so cash in your knowledge.

3. Take notes ONLY on what you will use now.

You can always go back and listen to the video, the audio or the training for other relevant information at a later date and only once you’ve set a new objective.  In fact, it's alway good to re-read books, re-watch videos and re-listen to audios.  Repetition is the mother of skill.  Start connecting with how you can serve others.  Connect with your customers, clients and followers!  This will start helping you to eliminate overwhelm and go into MASSIVE action.
