Acuity Vs Calendly

So, you’ve managed to pin down the hard-to-reach prospect and got them to agree to an appointment.  Now, the dance routine, of trying to synchronize schedules, begins!

This is where the scheduling apps come into play.  You don’t have to spend hours going back and forth, trying to match everyone’s diaries.  You can now actually spend time helping your clients and not trying to schedule appointments.

There’s a variety of schedulers in the market and it can be hard to choose one that works for you.  Today, I’m comparing Acuity Scheduling and Calendly.

Price - FREE / $10p/m / $15p/m

Mobile App - NO, not yet (...hello Calendly team ?)

Calendly is a pretty straightforward scheduling app and is brilliant for people working with people of varying technical skills. I love using it because of its simplicity.  Not only does it allow you to decide your time slots,  it also allows you to prevent appointments being booked back-to-back, so you can have a 5-minute break in between appointments.

With the "Free" plan you are limited to one type of appointment (1 event) but with the paid plan you can have an unlimited number of events.  With the free version, you also get a personalized Calendly link: https://calendly.com/thekimberleydrummond/ which you can give to your clients.

The paid version gives you a lot more.  Along with being able to remove Calendly's branding, it integrates with the platforms listed below.

    1. Integration
  1. Zapier
  2. Go To Meeting
  3. Mailchimp
  4. Gmail
  5. Slacks
  6. Infusionsoft
  7. SalesForce
  8. Office 365
  9. Google Calendar
  10. iCloud

As it integrates with Go To Webinar, you can set up group events for webinar lessons or classes.  And so your prospect/client doesn't miss the meeting, you have the ability to send email reminders.

***New - You can now collect payments when a client schedules by integrating your Stripe account.

Price - FREE / $10 / $19 / $34

Mobile App - YES

Acuity Scheduler is also a pretty straightforward scheduling app to use.  Just like Calendly you have the freedom and the paid versions which of course give you access to more things.

So, what are those "more things"? Acuity synchs with your calendar so that you can view your appointments in real -time.  It integrates with many platforms.

  1. Autoresponders
  2. MailChimp
  3. ActiveCampaign
  4. Aweber

If you love doing webinars and LIVE lesson, then fear not.  Acuity Scheduler integrates with the following for video conferencing:

  1. Video Conferencing
  2. Go To Webinar
  3. Join.Me
  4. Zoom

You can also put embed the page onto your website and it integrates well with web builders such as, GoDaddy, Squarespace, WordPress, Weebly, Wix and let's not forget the social media platforms...Facebook.

The most fabulous feature that I love with this scheduler is that fact that you don't even need to process payments yourself, it does it for you.  With Acuity Scheduler, you can now take payments before a client can book a session with you.  Here are the payment processors that it integrates with:

  1. Payment Processors
  2. Stripe
  3. Paypal
  4. Authorize.Net
  5. Square

It also syncs with some CRMs via Zapier such as Google contacts, Google Sheets and works well with Infusionsoft.  And if you're like me and you would like to keep a close eye on your data, then you'll love this.  It integrates with both Facebook pixels and Google analytics.   Finally, if you work from home or alone, you'll Acuity's friendly and humorous "voice" that's close to office banter.
